The Alliance for Business and Training (AB&T) is a not-for-profit, community-based corporation that provides exemplary employment and training services that meet the needs of today’s constantly advancing workplace.  Established in 1984, AB&T serves to build public/private collaborations designed to ensure achievement of economic development, skills training, and labor market enhancements. A recipient of the prestigious Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence Award, AB&T has provided innovative workforce solutions for over two decades.

A skilled, quality workforce is one of the single most important factors in remaining competitive locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.  AB&T endeavors to help create an environment in which business, education, and other stakeholders can effectively attract, recruit, train, and retain a highly qualified, demand driven workforce.  The Alliance for Business and Training brings together workforce and economic development initiatives that benefit both employers and workers while strengthening long-term workforce development strategies.

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development recently released funding through the State Incumbent Worker Training Program.  A local review is required by the Northeast Tennessee Workforce Investment Board through the  Alliance for Business & Training.  Funding may be limited, For more information "click here".
